Purpose: Laxative
Uses: For relief of occasional constipation and irregularity.
Active Ingredient: Per Tablet: Bisacodyl USP 5 mg
Inactive Ingredient: Calcium Sulfate; Carnauba Wax; Corn Starch; D&C Yellow #10; FD&C Yellow #6; Gelatin; Kaolin; Lactose; Magnesium Stearate; Methacrylic Acid Copolymer; Microcrystalline Cellulose; Pharmaceutical Glaze; Polyethylene Glycol; Sucrose; Talc; Titanium Dioxide; Water; White Wax; Sodium Content: Less Than 0.2 mg Per Tablet
Directions: Expect results in 8-12 hours if taken at bedtime or within 6 hours if taken before breakfast. Adults and children 12 years of age and older: take 2 to 3 tablets (usually 2) in a single dose once daily. Children 6 to under 12 years of age: take 1 tablet once daily. Children under 6 years of age: consult a doctor.
Warnings: Ask a doctor before use if you have: nausea, vomiting or abdominal pain; noticed a sudden change in bowel habits that persist over a period of 2 weeks. When using this product: do not chew or crush; do not take this product within 1 hour after taking antacid or milk; do not give to children under 6 years of age, or to persons who cannot swallow without chewing; abdominal discomfort and cramps may occur; laxative products should not be taken for a period longer than 1 week unless directed by a doctor.
Stop use and ask a doctor if rectal bleeding or failure to have a bowel movement occurs after use of a laxative. These could be signs of a serious condition. If pregnant or breast-feeding, ask a health professional before use. Keep out of reach of children. In case of overdose, get medical help or contact a Poison Control Center right away. |
